There are lots of other patches on the system but the above software is what
is most well known.
CMQ060 v1.2 (MCP CopyMemQuicker version is slower)
Fastiprefs - What it says. Just install it, you won't regret it.
Swazinfo - Great disk info replacement. I do not understand what problems
some people had with this and newicons as thay work together fine for me.
When I first installed it however I found it would crash alot but after
installing stack attack, Mattbench became alot more stable.
PowerWB - Add some usfull gadgets to the wb windows.
Startmenu 2 - The only true win95 taskbar.
All these can be obtained from Aminet
As for the screenblanker I use Gblanker of rarther the modules via mcp. Works
in conjunction with mcp's powersave function.

About Mattbench:
Mattbench is being displayed in 800-600 by CyberGFX in 16 bit.
Mattbench is stable with only the first boot occassionly causing a crash.
Mattbench was grabbed using cybergrab 1.2
I have included 2 of the backgrounds I use and my alert sound.
The buffy picture was downloaded from one of the hundreds of buffy pic
sites. (www.buffy.com)
The bootpic requires AmigaStart and I assembled it myself so I don't think
anyone else has it.
If anyone is interested I have included an Aibb module from
my system to compare with your own. (BlizzPPC 603e 160/040-25, 32mg fast)
Also I have included my startup-sequence just so you can see how it all
comes together.
AmigaAMP benfits greatly from a ppc card. Mine is set up to play back using
a replay frequency of 44100 and through AHI using HIFI Paula14 bit calibrated.
Sound quality is truly exelent and there is plenty of cpu time left for various
plugins which dance to the music. This works for all MPG sound formats.
You will see from my startup that I use the command rom2fast. You proberbly
think what is the point when the blizzard has built in maprom. Well the
explanation is that I lose 512k regardless of whether I use maprom or not.
If I enable it then I lose 1mb and acording to aibb, rom still is not in
fastmem and I noticed WHD installs no longer worked. When using rom2fast
I only lose 512k and aibb says rom is maped in fastmem.
I am using the latest release of the blizzard flash update (30/3/99)
The biggest problem with my setup is that the 040 FPU overheats very quickly so
this limits the use of warp3d and such including graphic rendering. With the
tower cover off I can usually get about 40min before signs of fpu over heating
occur. I will probobly need somekind of fan but I do not know what to get.
Bvision probs.
---------------
My computer is stable with this addon apart from when first powered on. I
suppose that this could be from the lack of power as I have not attached the
floppy connector. This is because I would rarther have the led connector
from the power tower connected. Although it is a tight fit I found that
once the led connector was insulated with electric tape, then it just manages to
to fit on the floppy connector. I do not think I am suffering from lack of
power as once past the initial boot everything is fine.
Playing AdoomPPC on my settup realy makes it fly. I can get upto 38 fps instead
of the 25 I got on AGA.
Forget ZHAdoomPPC as this is slow anyway.
I would like to see a DoomAttackPPC as this was easily the fastest 68k
version and I liked the extras like small transparent map and crosshair.
WarpUP probs
------------
If it is of any help to you, WarpUP became very much more stable on my system
when I removed Play16 from my startup sequence which was used for playing a
boot sample.
Only RTGmaster is the problem now as when it openes powerpc.library the
system mostly hangs. This makes it hard to play napalm. Launching a smaller
rtgmaster applications like the atari2600 emulator first often helps.
WarpUP vs PowerUP
------------------
I have always prefered PowerUP as for me, powerUP stuff often seems faster
than warpUP stuff. Also Everyone who has a PPC board at present has ppc.lib
and it works flawlessly.
After reading that Phase5 are to use WarpUP in there new PPC G3/G4 boards it
seems like the end of ppc.lib. That would mean that everyone would need warpUP
installed from mow on as there would be no point in continuing ppc.lib apps.
I know that someone is developing a ppc.lib emu for WarpUP to allow PowerUP stuff
to run, but I think Phase5 should develop an official version as thay made
ppc.lib in the first place and and are more likely to be able to make a 100%
compatible version.
OK, thats enough about mattbench and my opinions, now go and compare it to
otherworkbenches and please E-Mail me If you have any comments (Although it
mighttake a while to reply).
